Social Skill Groups
Creative Interventions, LLC will be offering Social Skills groups for children on the Autism Spectrum. The groups will run for eight weeks on Saturdays from January 23 to March 20. This program is designed for children who are non-aggressive:
Persons on the autism spectrum are often unable to have meaningful personal, social, and work lives due to their social deficits. Social skills training using both behavioral and relationship principles can help children on the autism spectrum to learn to develop meaningful relationships that allow them to participate more fully at home at school and in the community
Interested in having your child socially interact with their peers?
This program is seeking children on the Autism Spectrum ages 3 to 12.
Your child will learn about:
- Requesting/commenting with a peer.
- Sharing and taking turns.
- Social dramatic play.
- Working towards a common goal with a peer.
- Referencing peers and adults for information.
- Developing cognitive flexibility which will enable them to accept changes, variations, imperfection and loss.
- Sharing emotions with peers and adults.
- Following and using gestures.
- Engaging in conversation.
- Understanding another persons’ perspective.
Each session will run for 50 minutes on the dates listed above.

Ages 3 and 4: 9:00am to 9:50am
Ages 5 and 6: 10:00am to 10:50am
Ages 6 to 8: 9:15am to 10:05am
Ages 8 to 10: 10:15am to 11:05am
Ages 10 to 12: 11:15am to 12:05pm
